An entire hospital dedicated to fighting heart disease.

About ACT Nurses' Day

The Acute Cardiovascular Treatment (ACT) Program of the Arizona Heart Hospital assists healthcare providers in the Southwest with the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular patients. Throughout the year, the ACT staff interacts with hundreds of nurses who work to improve or save the lives of heart patients on a daily basis. In recognition of these talented and dedicated nurses, the ACT staff established ACT Nurses' Day - a program of continuing education provided by the physicians and staff of the Arizona Heart Hospital.

Now in its 14th year, ACT Nurses' Day attracts more than 250 nurses from across Arizona and surrounding states. This full-day program of continuing education provides the most up-to-date instruction on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease.

Each year, ACT Nurses' Day gives attendees the unique opportunity to experience live surgery without leaving their seats. Live cases from the endovascular suites at the Arizona Heart Hospital are shown to attendees on gigantic screens via satellite. The operating room surgeon wears a microphone and narrates as the procedure is being performed.

We have arranged a special rate at the Embassy Suites Phoenix, located at 24th Street and Thomas - just minutes from The Biltmore. The hotel will also be providing shuttle services the morning of the conference. To make your reservations at this hotel, please click here.
