Work Well
It’s
a fact – Healthy employees contribute to increased productivity
and reduced medical costs in the workplace. As the nation’s
number one killer, cardiovascular disease should be of concern to
all employers. Nearly half of the adult working population has cholesterol
and/or blood pressure levels higher than recommended, putting them
at increased risk for heart disease. Education and intervention
can dramatically reduce the incidence of heart disease and strengthen
your workforce.
The Arizona Heart Institute and the Arizona Heart Hospital offer
employers education and screening services – many at no cost
– to help keep your employees healthy. Our high quality, value-added
cardiovascular services are designed to meet the specialized needs
of the workplace community.
Employee Education
Learning about heart disease is key to helping your employees reduce
their risk and protect their health. Our comprehensive educational
resources are available for use in the work place.
Health Presentations
We
can provide health care professionals to speak in the workplace.
From informal lunch time talks to seminars, our physicians, nurses
and other clinical experts are well versed on subjects related to
cardiovascular health and fitness. Topics can be tailored to employees’
needs and can focus on subjects specific to risk factors for coronary
disease such as high cholesterol, blood pressure, diabetes, hypertension,
obesity, stress and smoking.
Screenings
We offer several preventative and educational screenings, such as blood pressure and body fat analysis. Many can be scheduled at the workplace. Screenings may vary on availability. Call for more information.
