Operating Rooms
The Arizona Heart Hospital has four cardiovascular suites
dedicated to surgical and endovascular procedures. One suite is
used specifically for peripheral vascular procedures of the
lower extremities.
The hospital's surgical team consists of cardiothoracic
surgeons, vascular surgeons and cardiovascular surgeons.
Cardiothoracic surgeons specialize in treating heart and lung
disorders via open-chest surgery. Vascular surgeons are
experts of the blood vessel system, particularly the lower
extremities. Cardiovascular surgeons specialize in treating
the heart and blood vessels. Vascular and cardiovascular
surgeons are often skilled in using minimally invasive
endovascular interventions.
